Marion Gribetz and Billy Mencow’s skills and expertise guide entire communities, organizations, and individuals. They coach and mentor clergy and senior staff in congregations, religious schools, and organizations. They advise and support lay leaders, lead and design Israel seminars, and consult on and implement programs for congregations, summer camps, JCCs, museums, adult education, colleges, and graduate schools. The team of Gribetz Mencow offers a unique suite of services that inspire staff members to become more engaged and active in their organization, ensure that programs and processes are aligned with the organization’s mission, and increase the value of the organization for current and potential new members. Their unique blend of teamwork, planning, and tactical implementation nourishes individual leaders and makes institutions stronger.
Marion pioneered the growth and development of Family Education and the profession of Family Educator in Boston; she was a Jerusalem Fellow at the Mandel Institute and Director of Education at Jewish Women’s Archive. Among other senior positions, Marion has also led the Center for Institutional and Professional Development at BJE of Greater Boston.
Billy was the founder of KOLBO, INC. in 1978, the nation’s most innovative retailer of Judaica. He served as Director of Camp Ramah in New England, engineering a growth in fundraising, staff training and innovative programming, and was Director of the Youth Educator Initiative. Billy has also served in various other leadership roles including as Associate Director at the BJE of Greater Boston.
